What is FindSpark
FindSpark is an online and offline community dedicated to setting up every young professional for career success and connecting employers to top, diverse early career talent.
How I joined FindSpark
I joined Hong Kong University of Science and Technology as a business student. I realized how I like meeting people from all walks of life after attending business events where I got the chance to meet CEOs and graduates. Having a mind to improve my resume and establish a good impression online, I joined the first virtual workshop in FindSpark- How to Get Noticed: Upgrade Your Online Presence.
Setting my goal
After joining the workshop, I realized how important it is to set up a LinkedIn account. Although it's not necessary to create a website about myself, it is nevertheless a good way to post my thoughts online and have a brief outlook of what I have achieved so far. With the goal of establishing LinkedIn and a personal website from scratch within the summer of 2017, I started browsing blogs in FindSpark and joined their events.

Improvements made
One thing that I like most about virtual workshops is the interactive feature with Miethner (CEO & founder of FindSpark) and other students who joined. She browsed my website during the workshop and gave a few suggestions. Avoiding the mistakes others students made, I polished my website to a higher level. FindSpark's community is huge and they provide a lot of resources. Following their guide and samples from FindSpark ambassadors, I've made improvements in my both LinkedIn and my website.

Whenever I join a company, I make updates in my LinkedIn. For my experience, whether it's school activities or my internship takeaways, I write it in my blog where people who wants to know more can have a look.
