5 Tips for a better sleep

1. Control your exposure to light The more you're exposed to light, especially in a city like Hong Kong where lights are everywhere, the worse your sleep is. Try to turn off lights an hour or half before sleep. If you have nothing to do after turning off the lights, try meditation, it also improves your sleep. Weaken the light in your computer may also help. Try installing FLUX. It control the amount of blue light you're exposed to. You can also buy an eye protective lamp to help your eyes relax while reading books or looking at your laptop, it helps relaxes your mind and get a better sleep.
2. Use apps As sleeping is more important, one of the graduates in HKUST developed an app called Void. It allows you to remain a calm state before sleep. It also enhances the quality of your sleep and improves your self-esteem. It has background sea waves that helps you relax. Just follow the instructions to inhale and exhale, then you'll be a step closer to a quality sleep.
